Objectives of Program: We are offering an eight-month Equine Racing Career builder program to those individuals who are interested in furthering their knowledge about the racing industry. This is an opportunity for those to learn and experience hands on job training. In addition to that they will be interacting with 10-12 current racing horse stables. Each student will learn the basics including: Basic on how to take care of racehorses. Equine anatomy * Equine dental course Preventive veterinary regiment / Racing veterinary medication rules. Equine dietary regiment. Hands on current racing stock prep. Jockey training-racing. Stable management / Farm management /Conditioning of all age racing stock. Latest high tech equipment on the market, on the stable. Ice therapeutic treatment. Corrective shoeing. Bloodstock appraisal / Pedigree analysis (turf-sand, dirt and synthetic) Attend Barrett yearling and select two-year-old sale and other sales. Understanding of turf-sand, dirt and synthetic racing surface. Understanding of condition book / Racing forms. Help to obtain trainer license Groom license and excise rider license.
